PRIVACY POLICY

GreekDuel is a read-only scoreboard for sports betting that already happens elsewhere. We connect to the sportsbook and exchange accounts you choose to link, read the bets you have already placed, and score them. We never place, modify, cancel, or fund a bet, and we never hold your money.

Who this is for

GreekDuel is rated 17+ and is intended for adults. Sportsbook linking additionally requires you to be 21 or older, which is enforced at signup and again before any account can be linked. If you are under 21 you can still join a house as a non-scoring member.

What we collect

Account: email address, username, date of birth, and the house you join.
Linked sportsbook accounts: when you link a book through SharpSports, we receive and store the bets on that account (selection, stake, odds, payout, settlement status and timestamps) along with which book it came from. We receive an access grant from SharpSports; we never see or store your sportsbook password.
Performance: profit and loss, ROI, win/loss record, and weekly and season totals derived from those bets.
Content you post: house chat messages, campus posts, punishment proposals and votes.
Push tokens: if you turn notifications on, a device token so we can send them. Nothing else about your device.
Profile photo, if you upload one.

What other people can see

This is the part worth reading twice, because GreekDuel is a competition and the point is that people see how you are doing.

Your housemates see your username, your win/loss record, your ROI, and your profit and loss in dollars.
Individual bets become visible to your housemates only after that bet locks. Before then, an open position is yours alone. This is enforced by the database, not by the app.
Campus standings show your username, house, and performance to every member of the league.
We never publish your email, date of birth, sportsbook credentials, or which book a bet came from outside your own view.

What we do not do

We do not take payments. There is no purchase, subscription, deposit, or withdrawal anywhere in the product.
We do not hold, pool, or transfer money, and there is no in-app currency, points, or simulated betting.
We do not award prizes. Honors and titles are recognition only, with no cash or physical prize attached.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

Only the services required to run the product: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), SharpSports (the bet sync you authorize), The Odds API (odds shown on the Events board, which receives nothing about you), and Expo (push delivery). We also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your account and bet history are kept while your account exists, because a season-long competition needs the season. Unlink a book at any time and we stop receiving new bets from it. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your profile, your bets, your linked accounts, your posts and your push tokens.

Your choices

Unlink any sportsbook at any time from the Link screen.
Turn notifications off in Settings, or in iOS Settings.
Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.
